We are working with a vision that every child will be self aware, equipped to pursue their passion and lead a successful and happy life for themselves and the community.
What do we do?
Today, more than 70% of our children are reading where it has looked impossible task for generations. At many hamlets of the nomadic Bharwad community, we find ‘below 10%’ literacy, very few children regularly going to school and almost every child dropping out before completing middle school. We are working to change this picture, with a lot passion, love and discipline.
Over 90% of our fellows are finding meaningful livelihood in a region where less than 20% of the youth with similar education are able to find a dignified job.
Student graduating from colleges, particularly in our region, struggle to find a job. However, 90% of our fellows graduated from last 3 cohorts found opportunities right after completing fellowship. Presently we are receiving more inquiries from different organisations even before we begin our annual placement drive for the graduating fellows.
Why does it matter? – The Problem
Children at 43% Bharwad hamlets in Nagpur district are either not going to school or not receiving quality education. There is no model/plan of education for nomadic communities, for a 13 core population. A population so big, it would have been the 12th largest country in the world.

Intended impact
Our mission is to transform the education landscape of Nagpur and nearby districts in the next 10 years by creating about 300 education leaders (150 education leaders through ‘Learning Companions Fellowship’ and supporting and collaborating with another 150 education leaders at different levels in schools, NGOs, government or private spaces). Through this movement, we aim to reach about 20,000 children and develop a generation of learners who are aware of their interests, values and develop a set of skills that will enable them to pursue their passion.
